I would rank them as such as far as features. They all show up as menu items within Vegas once any of them are installed on your system. The integration with Vegas aspects are the same. When I was trying to figure out the differences I installed Hitfilm Express (Free) with the demo of VP18 suite.

From the YT videos, it would not seem that you can use Vegas Effects as a standalone to separately edit a project as you can in HitFilm Pro. This is particularly so if you would want to have access to HitFilm Pro's Mocha planar tracking or Foundry tracking (the latter of which I haven't used), neither of which come with Vegas Effects.Īnother consideration is that Vegas Effects only allows for one video event from Vegas Pro at a time. IMO, the options that you would get with Vegas Pro + HitFilm Pro are significantly greater than you would get from Vegas Pro + Vegas Effects - but then it all depends on your needs. I'm wondering if it is worth it if there are some things you can do with Vegas Effects vs Vegas Pro + Hitfilm. In one of the later comments in that thread, I've linked to a couple of YT tutorials from a year or so ago re using Vegas Effects. Re the difference between Vegas Effects and HitFilm Pro, have a look at this recent post re that very subject:
